Overview

During my internship, I collaborated closely with the Innovation and Design teams to support various projects within our functional areas. I researched and developed new innovation concepts as well as re-incorporated existing concepts to better suit the needs of consumers. Additionally, I designed a capsule wardrobe that encompassed my innovation and design concepts.

Additionally, I conducted extensive technical textile and trend research, often collaborating with vendors, mills, and labs. Through these efforts, there was potential to uncover breakthrough results and possibly even innovate new concepts that could have a transformative impact on the industry.

Industry Insights

I participated in several team outings to deepen my understanding of emerging developments and processes within the textile industry, visiting places like Cotton Inc., Gaston College Textile Technology Center, and the Karl Mayer Textile Innovation Conference. These experiences provided valuable insights into industry dynamics and highlighted the collaborative efforts across different departments working towards common goals.

Key Learnings

This experience not only enhanced my technical skills in trend analysis and product development but also honed my ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. It was a pivotal opportunity that broadened my perspective on the fashion industry and equipped me with practical knowledge essential for future endeavors in design and innovation.
